Y&R and B&B alum Kelly Kruger shows off her and Darin Brooks’ daughter’s skills

It’s been a while since Kelly Kruger took on the role ofle of Mackenzie Browning in The Young and the Restless in 2019, but she has stayed in touch with her fans through social media. From sharing gluten-free food recipes to daily health and beauty tips to sharing her life with husband Darin Brooks, who portrays Wyatt in The Young and the Restless Rich and beautifulshe’s busy. In her latest funny video, she and her daughter try to recreate a recipe, but Kruger’s skills don’t seem to be enough.

Catastrophic results

Kruger’s Instagram page reads, “Come for the tips, stay for the laughs,” and she certainly got plenty of laughs with her latest post. Set to the song “Things Are Brewing” by Isaintjames, aka James Francis Lartner, she shared a video with the caption, “My four year old can do this better than me 🤣. Apple coffee 🍎 ☕️.”

Kruger and her young daughter imitated a woman who regularly imitates Kruger by making apple coffee, alternating her video with hers while hilariously copying every facet of the woman’s actions, including uttering what they had added, usually with a one or two-word statement such as “an apple,” “honey,” “coconut milk,” etc.

Each of them had a hollowed-out apple, and while the daughter had no problem pouring something into it, the mother, oddly enough, couldn’t control herself and the ingredients fell everywhere but into the apple. At one point, Kruger says, “Oh, you’re doing really well! You didn’t even spill anything,” and then adds, “I have a hole in the bottom of my apple.”

Failure was not an option

As they mixed the contents of her apple with battery-operated hand mixers, Kruger asked her daughter, “Why are you doing it so well and I can’t?” She covered the bottom of her apple with a piece of cellophane to keep it from leaking. Mom couldn’t even get ice cubes into the apple properly, even though her daughter and the lady from the recipe video made it look effortless. “You’re silly, Mom,” the young girl joked.

They added coffee and whipped cream to the mixture, although the little girl obviously added water and not a caffeinated beverage. Using extra-long straws, they slurped their concoctions, and Mom said, “I didn’t get anything,” as the contents of the apple dripped out of the hole in the bottom.

Mother and daughter both said it was “perfect,” although Kruger quickly corrected that, saying, “Well, hers was. Mine was amazing.” We know from her other videos that she can actually cook, but it was nice to see her having fun with her child! (Learn more about Kruger and Brooks’ love secrets!)
