Distributed by Orion Pictures (via Amazon MGM Studios), American fiction is expected to stream on Prime Video or MGM+ after the current theatrical release is over. Although parent company Amazon has not yet announced a streaming release date, most of Amazon MGM Studios’ films – like Saltburn, Bottoms And Creed III — were available to stream on Prime Video or MGM+ three to four months after their theatrical debut. You can probably American fiction on one of these streaming services sometime in April or May.
In the meantime, American fiction in 4K Ultra HD is available digitally for $20 on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other video-on-demand platforms. Tickets for the film in theaters are still available at Fandango.com and elsewhere.

Screenplay and direction for the screen are by Cord Jefferson, American fiction follows Dr. Thelonious “Monk” Ellison, a failed novelist who is fed up with the literary establishment. But after writing a fake book full of racist stereotypes under a pseudonym, Ellison accidentally finds great success and a highly coveted film deal.
The film also stars Tracee Ellis Ross, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, Issa Rae, Sterling K. Brown and others.
