It’s been 10 months since Microsoft acquired Activision-Blizzard, and there’s still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the deal. The past few months have brought an avalanche of layoffs, both at Activision-Blizzard studios and Xbox’s own first-party developers. While it does little to help those laid off, general gamers are starting to see at least some benefits from the latest, most expensive Xbox acquisition, as some Activision games are finally coming to market. When Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard first went through, many fans hoped that some of the latter’s back catalogue would find its way into Xbox Game Pass. Although it has taken some time, this is now finally starting to happen, with Diablo4 opened the floodgates in March. Since then, Activision Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was added to Xbox Game Pass, and more recently, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has arrived on the subscription service. But there are many other Activision titles that fans want on Game Pass.

It might be a smart idea for Xbox and Activision to start with the entries that play a direct role in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6History, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and the newer Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarBut after that, many fans expect virtually the entire franchise to appear on Xbox Game Pass.

One of the more overlooked Activision franchises, prototype could experience a lively comeback if it were added to Xbox Game Pass. Released in 2009, prototype is a third-person action-adventure game in which players take control of a shapeshifter with a mysterious past named Alex Mercer. The 2012 sequel wasn’t quite as well received, but both games still have their shining moments and both deserve a second chance in the spotlight that only Game Pass can provide.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Although there are always plenty of Soulslikes, Xbox Game Pass desperately needs a proper FromSoftware addition, and the Activision-published Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice would be the perfect option. Unlike his Dark Souls And Blood transfused predecessors in some important respects, Sekiro is brutal but fair and offers some of the most satisfying sword fights of any video game to date.
