World of Wonders impresses visitors to the Nebraska State Fair

The World of Wonders travel tour was in full force at the Nebraska State Fair, with several shows daily offering a wide range of entertainment for guests of all ages.

The 30-minute show consists of 10 different acts. From fire-eating to metal-breaking to sword-swallowing, the show is sure to please audiences.

The cast of “World of Wonders” consists of only six actors and a few animals, such as the two-headed turtle from the show.

The show has been around in one form or another for over 70 years. Owner Tommy Breen says he loves performing and started out with simple things.

“The first trick I learned was to stick a nail in my nose,” Breen said. “When I first showed it to my mother, she was horrified.”

Breen started acting because he likes to entertain people. “I wanted to entertain people,” Breen said. “And I thought, why not run away and join the circus?”

The show is based in Florida and is appearing at the Nebraska State Fair for the first time this year.

There are daily performances at 10:30 am, 1 pm and 3:30 pm with an additional performance on Saturdays at 6 pm.
