However, PvP enthusiasts have many reasons to be happy about The war within as well. The Deephaul Ravine is a new battleground added in the expansion and is located in the Ringing Deeps. Two teams of 10 players each, representing the Unbound or the Machine Speakers respectively, clash and fight for resources and control of the quarry. Players earn points by controlling one of the two minecarts active on the map or by looting the Deephaul Crystal from the center and bringing it back to their base. The game ends when the first team reaches 1500 points.

PvP Battlefield “Deephaul Ravine” in World of Warcraft: The War Within

  • A 10v10 battleground (8v8 in Battleground Blitz) in The Ringing Deeps.
  • Available from level 71.
  • Hybrid payload/capture flag objectives.
  • The first team to reach 1500 points wins.
  • Minecart vehicles allow for quick transport across the map.

The new map has additional features that can influence the outcome of the battle, such as the mine cart that drives across the map. This vehicle allows players to quickly traverse the battlefield to reposition their troops and prepare ambushes and quick battles. With extreme topography, World of Warcraft Classes with access to knockback abilities can also use the elevated position to their advantage to instantly end a battle with fall damage.

The last new battlefield in World of Warcraft was the Seething Shore, released towards the end legion in 2018. This means that it has been over six years since World of Warcraft received a new PvP map. Of course, fans of PvP in World of Warcraft are overjoyed to finally see new content and can’t wait to try out the map The war within starts.

The Deephaul Ravine should be playable as soon as The war within is entering Early Access, but players will not be able to earn currency until the full launch. Honor will also be capped at 4000 during this time and vendors will not stock items until release to ensure all fans are roughly on the same page, regardless of the editions purchased. Either way, World of Warcraft: The War Within PvP Season 1 doesn’t begin until September 10, so players have several weeks to familiarize themselves with Deephaul Ravine and prepare for Rated Battlegrounds.
