HARRISONBURG, VA — In a wild away game, the La Salle women’s soccer team scored three second-half goals to overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit and earn a 3-3 tie at James Madison.
A total of three goals were scored in the first 15 minutes of the second half, putting La Salle behind 3-2. Justyce Hollenbach secured the tie with a goal in the 84th minute.th Minute.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game didn’t produce a single shot on goal in the first 13 minutes. James Madison converted the first chance of the game in the 14th minute.th.
- After several more minutes without a goal, the Dukes scored a second time and took a 2-0 lead in the 21st minute.st Minute.
- Towards the end of the half, the Explorers found their stride again. Elizabeth Estrada And Ella Cadigan both shot with aim.

- La Salle continued to apply pressure and Cadigan fired two more shots on goal in quick succession, but both were saved by the Madison goalkeeper.

- Despite the goal, the Explorers’ press continued to control the tempo of the game, with Walker and Hollenbach both creating strong chances in the minutes following the goal.
