A woman has been praised for her “epic” act of retaliation against a smug neighbor who kept her awake with loud “trash music.”

She described how her neighbor played music at full volume all day long – and refused to turn it down at night. Frustrated, the neighbors even called the police after hearing the music on the street after midnight and into the early hours of the morning.

She shared her story on Reddit, saying, “On my block we have this neighbor who is simply the combination of all the bad habits of neighbors. The biggest complaint is the noise, this guy plays trash music all day long, which wouldn’t be a problem if he respected the volume and the allowed time.

“When my family called the police at 3 a.m., the police told us that the noise had already exceeded the permitted level before the road began.

“But I guess money isn’t an issue for this guy because he keeps doing it. Since everyone was calling the cops about the noise, he decided to call the cops about the noise… about a crying newborn (when the cops came, they told the guy to fuck off, so that was a small win).”

In addition, the woman claims that the neighbor was a “creep” who peeked into her window every time she or her underage sister were in the bedroom. To teach him a lesson, she hatched a plan to annoy him.

She added: “Because this guy is used to staying up at night listening to awful music, he basically sleeps all morning and hates birdsong because it wakes him up. You can literally hear him wailing and closing the windows when the birds start singing. So I decided to plan based on that.

“I asked every neighbor if they were OK with the birdsong. Most said they loved it. Then I asked the auto detailing shop if I could scatter some seeds on their roof to attract birds. The owner said absolutely yes because the guy had been throwing garbage on the roof of the shop so the owner had to clean the gutters every week.”

She started scattering the seeds on the roof of the shop at 5am every day – and said she had a “full army of birds” in less than a week. She said: “I also started putting things like leaves, twigs, dog hair and other things down for the birds to build nests nearby. There is also water for the birds in my window.”

“The most delicious part of my revenge came when I decided the birds needed a little treat. I have a friend who raises insects for people to feed their exotic pets. So I asked him for 100 crickets to feed the birds. He gave me an incredible discount and the next day I scattered crickets on the roof too.

“The birds started eating the crickets, but obviously they couldn’t eat them all, so the remaining dozens of crickets that escaped ran to the nearest shelter… the idiot’s open balcony.”

She continued, knowing he couldn’t harm the birds because of their protected status, saying, “Now my block is the only place in the ghetto where you can wake up every day like a Disney princess, to the chirping of more than 30 birds and the sounds of a very desperate, evil neighbor.”

One user commented on her post, saying, “A bonus to your clever plan: play recorded bird sounds through an outdoor speaker. You can easily find free bird sounds online that you can download and play on a loop.”
