Witherite Law Group Gives Away 1,000 Backpacks and Accessories at Potter’s House Fort Worth’s Back 2 School Experience

Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck are partnering with the Fort Worth ISD Family Action Center to deliver back-to-school essentials to school-aged children. The Pottery House from Fort Worth “Back 2 School Experience”. The event will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fort Worth ISD Teaching and Learning Center, 1050 Bridgewood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76112. This annual family-focused experience, hosted by The Potter’s House of Fort Worth, includes a health expo, an “Ask the Teacher” panel, cooking demonstrations, a live DJ, a pep rally and over 30 vendors offering a variety of products and services. Additionally, the Fort Worth Police Department, in partnership with Brighter Outlook Inc., is generously contributing to the success of the Back 2 School Experience by providing meals to all participants and volunteers.

As major sponsors, Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck are giving away 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, including pencils, notebooks, paper, binders, rulers and highlighters for middle and high school students, and pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors and rulers for elementary students. The backpacks will be distributed to families from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

According to the National Retail Federation, families with school-age children are expected to spend an average of $875 on clothing, shoes, school supplies and electronics—almost as much as they planned to spend on winter shopping last year. For underfunded schools, additional unconventional items like paper towels, facial tissues, soap, disinfectant wipes, printer paper and special tech equipment can drive costs up even further. Families are forced to adjust their budgets, make sacrifices or even go into debt to purchase all of the items on the school supply list. Witherite Law Group and its partners are easing some of the financial burden associated with back-to-school preparations.

“Whether they are moving on to the next level or starting school for the first time, school can be both exciting and stressful for many reasons. Being unprepared should not be one of them,” said Amy WitheriteOwner of 1-800-TruckWreck and founder of Witherite Law Group. “Teachers often spend their own money to purchase additional supplies and specialty products to create an enriching environment and maximize the student learning experience. We do our best to offset the costs for families and teachers while setting students up for success from the start.”

Led by Amy Witherite, Witherite Law Group and 1-800-TruckWreck are committed to putting people first, investing in the communities they serve, and building bridges of opportunity that create stronger communities.
