Willie Brown dismisses Trump’s ‘near-death’ helicopter story as pure fiction (video)

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown does not hold back when it comes to debunking a wild story that used to President Donald Trump recently shared. During a press conference in his Mar-a-Lago Trump claimed on Thursday that he and Brown once experienced a terrifying helicopter ride that nearly ended in disaster. Trump said the helicopter had to make an emergency landing and during the ordeal, Brown reportedly said some harsh words about Vice President Kamala Harris.

But Brown, known for his sharp wit and direct manner, was quick to dismiss Trump’s claims. Speaking to KRON4, Brown dismissed the story as nothing more than Trump’s “creative fiction” and even laughed at the whole idea. “I don’t think I’d want to fly in the same helicopter with him,” Brown joked, adding that he’s never done business with Trump.

To make matters worse for Trump, California Governor Gavin Newsom, who was actually on the helicopter ride, also called Trump’s story “nonsense.” The New York Times reported that the Brown on board the flight was not Willie Brown, but former California Governor Jerry Brown. Jerry Brown’s spokesman confirmed that there was no emergency landing and that Kamala Harris was definitely not speaking.

Willie Brown, who played a significant role in Harris’ political rise and is a longtime supporter, continues to support her as she advances her political career. Despite the noise, Brown is focused on supporting Harris, who he describes as “absolutely beautiful,” “darn smart” and incredibly successful. With his usual enthusiasm, Brown expressed his anticipation for the upcoming election and said he is ready to see Harris in the Oval Office.
