Williamsbridge attack: NYPD seeks suspects accused of attacking 82-year-old woman in Bronx, NYC

WILLIAMSBRIDGE, Bronx (WABC) — Police are searching for two people accused of attacking an 82-year-old woman in the Bronx late last week.

The incident occurred on Friday, August 2, around 7 p.m. near East 212th Street and White Plains Road.

According to the NYPD, the two suspects approached the 82-year-old and struck her multiple times before throwing her to the ground and stomping on her body. Officials say the suspects fled the scene east on East 212th Street toward Holland Avenue.

First responders took the victim to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.

According to police, one of the suspects is described as a man of medium build and dark skin. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue shorts and gray-black sneakers.

The other suspect is described as a woman of medium build and medium skin tone. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and shorts, white sneakers and carrying a black shoulder bag.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Authorities are still investigating what led to the attack.
