Marcus served in the U.S. Army for eight years. He started as a rifleman from 2011 to 2014. He was a rifle team leader from 2014 to 2018 and a rifle squad leader from 2016 to 2017. He was a platoon leader at headquarters from 2017 to 2018 and finally an operations sergeant in the civil affairs battalion from 2018 to 2019.
After leaving the Army, Marcus served as Director of Membership Engagement at Harvard University’s Undergraduate Veterans Organization from 2022 to 2023. He began as a member of the organization in 2021. Marcus graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a degree in International Studies (with specializations in foreign policy, diplomacy, and peace and security).
