Will Amazon stop producing the Kindle Scribe Basic Pen?

The Amazon Kindle Scribe is the first e-notebook the company ever released, and it’s also an excellent e-reader with a large screen and a 300-page e-paper display. Customers could choose between the Basic Pen and the Premium Pen when the latter came out last year. The Premium Pen was the better deal because it has a special eraser and a quick button on the top. Amazon is close to discontinuing the Basic Pen in the United States. The Basic Pen doesn’t have its own product listing; only the Premium Pen has a landing page. That’s a big blow to anyone who has lost their Basic Pen and wants to buy a new or replacement one. The only way to buy a Basic Pen is to buy a new Kindle Scribe.

The Kindle Scribe Basic Pen is the standard pen on the base model of the e-reader of the same name. As the name suggests, it’s pretty basic. It provides the same writing feel as the Premium Pen, which is a more feature-rich pen of the two official Kindle Scribe pens Amazon offers. It has its own eraser and a built-in shortcut button.

Although the Basic Pen appears to no longer be available individually in the US, it is still available in some international markets, such as Canada and the UK. If you would like to purchase the Basic Pen, you can purchase it from the Good e-Reader Store.
