UPDATE: Kelly Ripa was again absent from Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, August 12, a day after she performed at a ceremony at Disneyland honoring her and other well-known celebrities. The show was co-hosted by Mark Consuelos in Ripa’s place by Maria Menounos, who had already performed in her absence last Thursday.
Consuelos was present at the Disney ceremony, which took place in Anaheim, California, but returned to the New York set Live Show on Monday. It’s unclear why Ripa hasn’t returned as well, but Decider reported that she is on her “annual summer vacation.”

The guest of the day on Monday’s show was Andra Day, the promoter of The Redemptionwith Meaghan Murphy sharing back-to-school ideas. Tuesday’s (August 13) show features Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hannah Waddingham and Tweet Boogie.
PREVIOUSLY (August 7, 12:45 p.m.): If you experienced déjà vu while watching, Live with Kelly and Mark This week, well, there’s a reason! On Wednesday’s (August 7) episode, Mark Consuelos co-hosted the show with radio host Deja Vu for the second time, after she filled in for Kelly Ripa on Monday (August 5).
Ripa is absent from this week’s taped shows, so Consuelos has been working with a number of guest stars, including Jane Krakowski on Tuesday’s (August 6) episode. According to Decider, Maria Menounos will be present on Thursday’s (August 8) episode, and Jenny Mollen will co-host with Consuelos on Friday (August 9).

The reason for Ripa’s absence has not yet been announced, but she is one of the honorees who will attend the D23 Disney Legends Awards ceremony on Sunday (August 11) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, alongside Angela Bassett, Colleen Atwood, Harrison Ford, James Cameron, James L. Brooks, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joe Rohde, John Williams, Mark Henn, Marthan Blanding, Miley Cyrus and Steve Ditko. And since then Live is filming in New York City, so she may have had to miss the shows due to her travel schedule.
ABC did not immediately respond to TV Insider’s request for comment.
Live with Kelly and MarkIn Wednesday’s episode of there was an appearance by Blake Lively in support of her new film It ends with ustogether with Brian Kelly aka “The Points Guy”, who gives travel tips as part of the “Live’s Summer School” list.
In Thursday’s episode, John Stamos will promote Without prisonwith Marc Santa Maria offering practice tips; and in Friday’s episode, Broadway’s Michael Urie and Kwame Onwuachi will teach the audience how to sharpen knives.
