Why Kelly Osbourne continues to support Ozempic despite mother Sharon’s warning

While her mother Sharon Osbournehas talked a lot about the use of Ozempic and warned some people against Kelly has a completely different opinion about the use of the popular drug for weight loss.

Kelly attended the red carpet for Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala when she was asked by E! News about Ozempic and she spoke very positively about it, saying: “I think it’s great. There are a million ways to lose weight, so why not do something that’s not as boring as exercise?”

“People hate it because they want to do it,” she continued. “And the people who hate it the most are the ones who do it in secret or are mad because they can’t afford it. Unfortunately, right now it’s something that’s very expensive, but eventually it won’t be because it actually works.”

Kelly has not revealed whether she has ever taken Ozempic, but her mother Sharon has. She said of her experience: “You can lose so much weight and it’s easy to become addicted to it, which is very dangerous. I couldn’t stop losing weight and have now lost 18 kilos and can’t afford to lose any more.” She specifically warned against allowing teenagers to take it because the drug is “too easy”.

At the performance on Bill Maher‘S Club Random In a podcast, Sharon described how she experienced severe side effects while taking the drug, explaining that she was “vomiting all the time and feeling so nauseous.” However, the nausea didn’t last forever and after it was over, “you’re just not hungry anymore.”

Sharon eventually decided to stop taking Ozempic after losing more weight than she had planned. Since then, she has been very open about her difficulties in gaining the weight back. Despite her problems and advising others to be cautious, she recently clarified: “I don’t regret it.”

Besides Sharon, many other stars have also commented on Ozempic. Oprah Winfrey a strong advocate of the drug.
