It is a story as old as time – or rather, as old as Monday morning (5 August): Kelly Ripa is missing in Live with Kelly and Mark.
Regular viewers of the show do not need to learn from DECIDER that Ripa was absent all week and her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos was assisted by temporary substitutes. liveAnnouncer Deja Vu started the week alongside Consuelos, followed by Jane Krakowski on Tuesday (August 6) and Deja back at the anchor desk on Wednesday (August 7).
While fans are eagerly awaiting Ripa’s return, they’ll have to wait a little longer. Consuelos leads tonight’s episode with Maria Menounos, who previously filled in for Ripa live during an episode in July 2023. The two co-hosts spoke with John Stamos about his role in Without prison Season 2, which premiered on Hulu on July 17.

Why is Kelly Ripa missing from Live with Kelly and Mark?
A production source tipped DECIDER that Consuelos will be working with several guest hosts this week, including Deja Vu, Maria Menounos and Jenny Mollen. Luckily for those watching at home, there was still brand new content in each episode this week.
On Wednesday, Ripa shared on her Instagram Story that she is “honored and excited to join the Disney Legends class of 2024 at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.” She and the other honorees will be awarded the title this weekend at Disneyland.
