Who was sent home after the hometown dates?

Who was sent home after the hometown dates?

Buckle up, Bachelor Nation. Hometown Week is finally here! During Season 21, Episode 7 of The Bachelorette, Jenn Tran visited Texas, California, Washington, and Connecticut to meet the families, friends, and pets of her final four contestants: Devin Strader, Jeremy Simon, Jonathon Johnson, and Marcus Shoberg.

Compared to Hometown Weeks of the past, Jenn’s visits have been smooth and largely drama-free—aside from a few skeptical family members and one contestant who clearly isn’t ready for engagement.

There will be plenty of Bachelorette Hometown recaps, but this one was written with expert knowledge of Jeremy’s hometown of Fairfield, Connecticut. So who got a rose? Who went home to Hometown Dates? And who’s going to Fantasy Suites? Let’s dive in.

Devin Strader’s hometown date in Houston, Texas was the first stop. Devin met up with Jenn at a beautiful park where his run club friends joined them in custom “Jenn & Devin Love Run” shirts. Jenn poked fun at Devin, aka “Dev Dog,” and both seemed effortlessly in their element, enjoying a mile run together. Later, Devin introduced Jenn to his family and although there were some nervous moments due to discussions of past relationships, Devin ultimately confessed his love to Jenn.

Next up was Jeremy Simon’s date in his hometown of Fairfield, Connecticut. Despite Fairfield’s charm, Jeremy took Jenn to a mysterious section of the woods, causing Jenn to ask, “Did you bring me here to kill me?” Thankfully, the date soon moved on to Stew Leonard’s in nearby Norwalk, a quirky grocery store. They had a fun day filled with dancing avocados, animatronic cows, and even met Jeremy’s Aunt Debbie. However, Jeremy’s family was skeptical about whether he was ready for engagement, which cast a shadow over Jenn’s feelings.

In San Diego, California, Jonathon Johnson welcomed Jenn into his world, playing lacrosse on a field and meeting his supportive family. Jonathon’s brother and sister-in-law’s story of a quick but successful romance helped ease the tension over the show’s accelerated timeline. Jonathon expressed his feelings for Jenn, explaining that he is falling in love with her.

Most recently, Marcus Shoberg’s hometown date was in Tacoma, Washington. Jenn met Marcus’ younger sister, mentors, and a group of friends and fellow Rangers. Despite the fun meeting, Marcus expressed doubts about his readiness for engagement. He told Jenn he wasn’t quite in love yet, but later told her he was falling in love with her. This mixed message left Jenn worried about her future.

The episode ended with one of the final rose ceremonies of the season in Los Angeles. The final four met for a pre-ceremony talk, where Marcus expressed his doubts on camera, but not in front of Jenn. Despite his reservations, he accepted a rose along with Devin and Jonathon, leaving Jeremy heartbroken.

Next week promises to be exciting, with back-to-back episodes of “Fantasy Suite” and “Men Tell All.”
