Who ended up under the blanket and who was left in tears
“I love you,” Devin said as they went their separate ways. But he got no answer.
“I want to know that I am the right one,” he sighed into the cameras.
What happened on Jenn and Jonathon’s one-on-one date?
The handsome creative director and Jen visited great food markets and shops in Hawaii, including a donut stand.
After sweet treats, they chatted at a waterfall.
“You are important to me,” Jonathon said to Jenn.
She replied, “I like spending time with you.”
They took off their swimsuits and swam together in a water hole.
Jenn wanted Jonathon to express his feelings.
The first Asian American Bachelorette told him how, as a child, she hid her lifestyle from her immigrant parents in order to fit in with the other children in New Jersey.
“Who you are is pretty amazing,” Jonathon reminded her. “You shouldn’t have to hide that.”
Because he was half white and half black, Jonathon identified with Jenn.
“I’m falling in love with you,” he said and kissed her.
What happened in Jenn and Jonathon’s fantasy suite?
When Jonathon received the ticket to her fantasy suite, he said, “I would like to spend the night with you.”
Jenn replied, “I would too.”
In the confessional, Jenn revealed: “I could spend the rest of my life with this guy.”
They kissed on the bed and when the cameras came back the next morning, they woke up under the covers.
“It felt natural. Everything flowed,” Jonathon told Jenn.
Carrying coffee cups in their luggage, they went to the waterfall and then toasted their “newfound self-confidence” with champagne.
Meanwhile, Devin was left alone to worry about not getting his love back.
He didn’t want to be Jenn’s second or third choice!
“I don’t feel like number 1,” he said on camera.
What happened on Marcus’ one-on-one date with Jenn?
Marcus was the last person to spend time alone with Jenn and confided in Jesse that she was ahead of his feelings.
“I’m not ready to be in love yet,” Marcus admitted. He felt it would be wrong to propose to her.
At dinner, Marcus told Jenn that he was nervous and worried about the rose ceremony in his hometown.
Even though he had succeeded, it was clear that Marcus had doubts.
The Army Ranger veteran, who had lived in a foster family, emphasized how much he wanted to be “there” as a husband and father: “I want to be sure of that.”
Marcus became emotional and said, “Jenn, you are determined, you are ambitious… I have never met anyone like you. I am insecure and you deserve someone who is sure of you.”
