CHICAGO (WLS) — A beautiful sunrise at North Avenue Beach set the tone for the second day of the 64th annual Chicago Air and Water Show.

On Sunday morning, a variety of aircraft types will cross the Chicago skyline.
The parachute teams of the US Navy’s Blue Angels and the Army’s Golden Knights will thunder through the city and provide an unforgettable experience.

There will also be many great civilian performers in stunt planes, including some who will be appearing on the show for the first time.
Stunt pilot RJ Gritter will make his debut at the show aboard his acrobatic Decathlon 150 CS.
Trojan Phlyers will be aboard their historic North American Aviation Company T-28B aircraft.

Picture-perfect weather for day 1 on Saturday, with clear skies and cool temperatures.
ABC7 Chicago meteorologist Jaisol Martinez said similar conditions would prevail on Sunday.

On Saturday, the lakeshore was packed with people raising their eyes to the sky for the spectacle.
The air and water show runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
It’s best to come early to get a good spot, as the lakeshore fills up quickly.

The public is encouraged to use public transport as finding parking can be a nightmare and traffic congestion can quickly develop.
