Netflix is gearing up for a summer full of new releases, which means some changes are coming to the streaming platform. No, we don’t mean the new subscription plan, June will see the removal of a number of TV shows and movies once again.
From big blockbusters to action smashes and even some Netflix originals, a whole host of series and films are being taken off the platform in June. Thanks to What’s On Netflix, here’s everything we know about what’s being taken off Netflix throughout the month.
What’s leaving Netflix in June 2024?
June may be the start of summer party season, but one film series that embodies that feeling won’t be on Netflix for much longer – The Hangover movies. That’s right, anyone looking to enjoy the comedy film series that revolutionized the genre only has until June 6 to watch them before they disappear from the streamer.
Later in the month, Tom Cruise’s action film Edge of Tomorrow will be removed from the platform on June 5, while Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark will also be removed on June 7. Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson’s romantic comedy Marry Me will be removed from Netflix on June 16, while seasonal romance Chalet Girl will also disappear from Netflix on June 1.
Speaking of the first of the month: As usual, this is the day with the most removals. A total of 24 titles are taken off the platform on this day, including Simon Pegg’s comedy “Man Up” and Samuel L. Jackson’s 2003 action film “SWAT”, in which he stars alongside Colin Farrell and Michelle Rodriguez.
For fans of prestige cinema, films such as Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Jordan Peele’s horror hit Get Out, Good Will Hunting and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas will be removed on June 15. That’s not all, as several Netflix originals will also be removed in June, including the TV series Black Spot and two seasons of the sitcom Marlon.
