Fantasy Suites have a way of bringing the conversation about “love” to the forefront. For example, fall in love with her, fall in love in love with them or already in love? During the August 26 episode of The BacheloretteJenn Tran’s season reached that crucial milestone – and things got tense and led to a cliffhanger with one of her strongest favorites, Devin Strader.

So what happens to Devin after Fantasy Suites? Here’s a recap of the couple’s week in Hawaii and what reports say about their future together. Warning, spoilers!

Jenn and Devin’s date went well

The big week began with Jenn and Devin taking a helicopter date to several scenic spots in Hawaii before the couple settled in on the beach. Devin explained that he was ready for a house and kids because he didn’t have a “normal family life” growing up.

He reiterated his “I love you” from Hometowns, but Jenn explained that she finds it “scary” to return those feelings. “I want to and I’m trying and I want you to know that I’m on my way there,” she said.

“Just know that I’ll be there waiting for you whenever you get there,” Devin said, adding that she was “worth the wait.”

Later, over dinner, Jenn talked about her fear of “self-sabotage” regarding her feelings for Devin. “I’ve never experienced anything like this before and I almost want to run away from it because it’s starting to feel very real,” she said.

The next morning, the two were all smiles after their overnight date. “People say Devin looks like Pete Davidson,” Jenn told the camera. “But after last night, I’d say he’s better than Pete Davidson… in every way.”

Devin was worried

But as they kissed goodbye, Devin said, “I love you,” and Jenn didn’t say it back. Although he had previously told her he would “be there and wait” until she was ready, he seemed to express doubt that would happen. “I don’t want to say ‘I love you’ to her and then she turns around and tells someone else,” he said in a confessional. “If that happens, I would be devastated.”

But unfortunately, it happened. Jenn told Marcus Shoberg that she loved him during their date, and he didn’t return her feelings.

At the end of the episode, Devin was stressed. “You can only love someone like that for so long without getting anything in return,” he said, before voicing his concerns to host Jesse Palmer.

He said he felt like she was “wilting.” “Even though I would never have given her an ultimatum, I just needed to know that she loved me too.”

The episode culminated in Devin going to Jenn’s room and explaining in a confessional that he was going to be “brutally honest” and that this was “probably the end” of his journey. But is it?

Spoilers say…

The sequel to Jenn and Devin’s Fantasy Suites (which airs as part of Men tell everything on August 27) will feature some tears, according to a new teaser. In the preview, Devin tells Jenn that he “risked everything for her,” while Jenn says she’s not sure she can be what he needs her to be.

But you might not want to write Devin off just yet. According to Reality Steve, Devin is not eliminated after Fantasy Suites. The Bachelor Nation blogger and podcaster even shared a leaked photo showing Devin in a light-colored suit before the final rose ceremony, where he reportedly got engaged to Jenn.

While Jenn and Devin’s journey to the Fantasy Suites may be bumpy, it could still end well. It’s similar to how Kelsey Anderson helped Joey Graziadei during their Bachelor Fantasy Suites, just to keep the conversation focused on seeking (and ultimately finding) validation.
