What channel is the Jaguars game on today? How to watch Jags vs. Buccaneers

The Jacksonville Jaguars have completed two days of joint training with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and are now ready to face them in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL preseason. All in all, the Jags should have a good chance of winning, even if it doesn’t count in the standings.

After a 26-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the season opener, Jacksonville had a successful week of practice. The offensive line showed initial weaknesses, but Trevor Lawrence still managed to build a connection with the receivers. Brian Thomas Jr. is slowly becoming one of his favorite targets, while Parker Washington is building on a promising performance against the Chiefs.

On the other hand, defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen has his unit working at full speed. Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker were able to put pressure on the quarterback in practice, but also proved that they can prevent the run. Erick Hallett II and Andre Cisco, on the other hand, made several big plays on the second day of practice.

This raises the question of what the Jags can expect from Tampa Bay in Week 2 of the preseason. Head coach Doug Pederson believes the Buccaneers’ defense presents an interesting challenge.

“It’s a versatile defense in the sense that you can mix fronts, you can play with more linebackers, fewer D-linemen and vice versa. Pressure… coverts, he does that great,” Pederson told local media when asked what fellow defensive tackle Todd Bowles brings. “He just goes back to our game from last year and some of the things he did and that makes it a challenge because what he might show you the week before is not necessarily what you’re going to see in your game.”

Pederson also stressed that the Jaguars will not make plans and the focus will be on execution. In a slightly different context, Trevor Lawrence will not compete.

Mac Jones and CJ Beathard will take turns behind center to decide who gets the backup quarterback job, so don’t be surprised if you see No. 16 on the sidelines. With that in mind, here’s how to watch and listen to the Jags take on the Buccaneers in Week 2 of the preseason.
