TUESDAY:Persistent clouds, mostly cloudy with some possible sunshine and isolated lake-increasing showers throughout the day. Quite cool and breezy. High: 64. Wind: NW 5-15 with gusts to 25 MPH.

TUESDAY NIGHT: A bit windyfor the evening and it will be cool with lake effect clouds and scattered rain showers throughout the night, some moderate showers. Low: 52 for Syracuse, but even colder in rural areas, in the upper 40s. Wind: NW 5-10 becoming W 3-8 MPH.

WEDNESDAY (Day 1 of NYS Fair): Mostly cloudy with a few lake effect showers and even a slight chance of a light thunderstorm in the afternoon. A few sunny spells in between. Windy at times midday and afternoon, still very cool with low humidity. The cool temperatures make for great sleeping weather at night! Wind: W-NW 5-15 with gusts to 20 MPH. High: 66. Low: 53.

THURSDAY:Partly sunny skies with a slight chance of isolated light showers into the early afternoon, but a mostly dry day. Skies will clear in the afternoon, becoming mostly sunny. Calmer winds and pleasant temperatures, but still a little below average. High: 74. Low: 55.

FRIDAY:Sunny skies with just a few puffy cumulus clouds emerging in the afternoon. Fair weather with warmer temperatures and low humidity. Temperatures will return to warmer, summery levels in the afternoon. High: 79. Low: 57.
