BALTIMORE – Another beautiful day is ahead, but the weather will remain unsettled through the weekend.

Today will be stunning, but temperatures will get even hotter. Highs will reach 90 degrees in some areas this afternoon. Thankfully, humidity will stay relatively low, especially during the afternoon hours. It will be gloriously sunny throughout the day, but tonight will be cloudy.

Friday will feel similar to today, but it will be pretty gray. It will be a bit muggy in the morning, but the humidity will improve a bit in the afternoon. Highs will again climb to near 90°.

A warm front will approach the region on Friday. Its arrival is expected to occur later in the day and overnight. At this time, we could see the first rain showers in the region, especially Friday evening. In addition to isolated rain showers, scattered patches of fog may also develop Friday evening into Saturday morning.

The weekend will be unseasonably hot and very humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms. The greatest risk for showers and thunderstorms will be Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening. Some of these thunderstorms may bring torrential rain as humidity is very high in the region. Any storm may bring heavy rain and flooding of small rivers and towns. No widespread flooding or severe weather is expected.

The Falcons vs. Ravens preseason game on Saturday may be impacted by rain showers and thunderstorms, so stay tuned as thunderstorms are possible throughout the game. Kickoff for this preseason game is at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon. Thunderstorms may be a little less numerous, but there is still a chance of getting wet. Given the high humidity, any thunderstorm can produce heavy downpours.

Fresh air with low humidity returns on Tuesday and stays until next Wednesday to bring us another spell of wonderful weather.
