Thirty Section 9 schools will compete in 11-man football this season, plus Delaware Valley in northeastern Pennsylvania.
The Section 9 season begins on Thursday, September 5, and the regular season ends in early November. The East state semifinals will be held on November 29 and 30 at Middletown High School, and the West semifinals will be held on the same days at Vestal High School. The finals will be held on December 6 and 7 at the JMA Dome in Syracuse.

Coaches were asked to provide the names of four top players (two on defense, two on offense) for each team. All except Monroe-Woodbury and Monticello responded to the request for the major schools.
Here are the offensive players from the larger schools in Class AA and Class A. The defensive players are next. The small schools’ offensive and defensive players were announced last week.
