The saga that marks the development of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 continues as Paradox Interactive and developer The Chinese Room have announced that the long-awaited RPG has been delayed again. Originally scheduled for a fall 2024 release, the game has now been pushed back to the first half of 2025.

“We remain committed to providing people with an exciting game. vampire Fans, old and new. This commitment is reflected in the history of this development,” says Lilia. “The game is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2025.” World of Darkness and The Chinese Room will continue to entertain fans of Bloodlines 2listening to feedback, sharing updates, and showcasing the game in different forms.”

“The additional time will also allow us to address feedback from our game testing in our User Research Lab, as well as respond to the feedback we’ve received from all of you in response to our developer diaries and videos.”

The road to publication was not easy for Bloodlines 2. The game was originally announced in 2019 and was in development at Hardsuit Labs, with a release date of 2020. After the game was pushed back to 2021, Hardsuit Labs was dropped as a developer and the game was delayed again. Eventually, The Chinese Room was revealed as the new developer, with a fall 2024 release date, which has now apparently been scrapped.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
