Utah Jazz C Micah Potter expects a good season from the Indiana Pacers

Utah Jazz center Micah Potter expects big things from the Indiana Pacers this season.

Potter, who signed a two-way contract with the Jazz in the offseason, recently appeared on the Fixated on pacemaker Podcast. He talked about his time with Team USA in the offseason, where he also shared the court with Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.

Later in the conversation, Potter was asked about the Pacers and what he expects from the Blue and Gold this season.

“I think the Pacers have a really good chance to be really good,” said the three-year pro. “Obviously they had an incredible run last year.” Potter has never played against the Blue and Gold in the pros, but he has battled Haliburton with Team USA and in college, as well as budding Pacer Josiah Jordan-James.

“The continuity of those guys and the guys that have always been there. Everyone gets better in the summer,” Potter said of Indiana. “And then you just have the improved chemistry … And now you know what it takes.”

The Pacers lost to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals last season and return essentially the same roster. Continuity and internal growth will be key for the team this season if they want to repeat that success or make the playoffs again.

Potter averaged 3.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in his career with the Jazz and Detroit Pistons. You can find his entire podcast appearance here.
