OFAC has placed one individual and one entity (both from the West Bank) on its list of Specially Designated Nationals (“SDN”): Yitzhak Levi Filant And HaShomer Josch According to a US State Department press release, Filant is the civilian security coordinator for the West Bank settlement of Yitzhar. He is accused of “malicious activities outside his jurisdiction,” including setting up roadblocks and patrols to pursue, attack and displace Palestinians.
Hashomer Yosh is an Israeli NGO. It is alleged to have cordoned off a village after 250 Palestinians were forced to leave, preventing their return. The NGO is also alleged to have supported Meitarim Farm (designated as such by the US, see previous post) and guarded the outposts of Israeli individuals designated as such by the US (see previous post and previous post).
OFAC has also entered the entry for Ilya Borisovich Brodskya Russian who was imprisoned because of his links to Sovcombank Open Joint Stock Company.
