Universal unveils new hotel for Epic Universe

Universal Orlando has unveiled its new Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which has its own entrance, Epic Universe.

Developed by the same creative team behind Epic Universe, which opens next year, the 500-room hotel is inspired by the astronomical and mythological themes of Celestial Park.

The Universal Helios Grand Hotel is owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co. and overlooks Celestial Park and has a private entrance to the new theme park.

Comprehensive hotel experiences

Named after Helios, the Greek god of the sun, the hotel features themed suites How to train your dragonand a rooftop lounge called Bar Helios with 360-degree views of Epic Universe.

Other highlights include a resort-style pool with underwater speakers and poolside movies, as well as a fitness center, game room and Universal Orlando save.

As for F&B, the hotel has a full-service restaurant called Flora Taverna, while Aurora Market is a cafe and market. Lotus Lagoon is a poolside bar and grill.

Also part of Epic Universe are the Universal Stella Nova Resort (opening January 21, 2025) and the Universal Terra Luna Resort (opening February 25, 2025).

Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park, is scheduled to open in 2025. It will feature five themed lands with more than 50 attractions, entertainment experiences, and retail and dining options.

The new countries are: Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of BerkAnd Heavenly Park.

Epic Universe will also Immersive technologies such as omnidirectional rides, motion simulation and special effects, Jeff PolkExecutive Vice President and General Manager of the Park.
