Unicorn World brings the magic of unicorns closer to local children

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KRDO) — Unicorn World is an experiential travel festival that immerses families in the magical world of unicorns, according to the event’s website.

It starts with children stepping onto a rainbow trail and following it to visit a magical forest filled with life-sized unicorns. Unicorn World features animatronic unicorns that allow children to interact with lifelike unicorns. The event also features unicorn crafts, bouncy castles, face painting, an enchanted forest and a play area for unicorn fans under 2 and older.

Unicorn World show director Caitlin Owen said the best thing about the event was the impact it had on children.

“Mostly the best day ever. That’s our favorite part. Even up here at the entrance, they’re jumping up and down before they even see the first unicorn, and there are a lot of ‘best days ever,'” Owen told KRDO 13.

Unicorn World was held on August 10 and 11 at the Colorado Springs Event Center. This was the first time the event has been held in Colorado Springs and a spokesperson told KRDO 13 they plan to return next year.
