Two Devils forwards on NHL Network’s top 20 centers list

NEWARK, NJ – On Wednesday night, NHL Network released its list of the 20 best centers in the NHL this year, and two New Jersey Devils forwards made the list.

Devils captain Nico Hischier started the list at number 20. The 25-year-old is coming off a season in which he scored 67 points in 71 games, the second-highest point total of his career.

The Swiss center ranked 14th in last year’s list.

Jack Hughes made it into the top 10 despite missing the game due to injury, coming in ninth. The 2019 first-round pick finished the 2023-24 season with 74 points in 62 games. His 27 goals were the second most he scored in a single season of his career.

The middle Hughes brother was sixth best on last year’s list.
