Pool manager Karl Kruse (Milan Peschel) oversees the Bavarian Grubberg public pool as if it were his fiefdom, and places great value on order and punctuality. The pool has the charm of the 70s, but the residents, the Ente family, and the elderly Mrs. Bogner (Monika John) ignore Karl’s rules. The pool urgently needs renovation, and Karl expects financial support from the city. The mayor (Gisela Schneeberger), however, sees the future differently: she sells the pool’s property at a profit to the building contractor Albert Dengler (Sebastian Bezzel).

This time, Hauke Jacobs (Hinnerk Schoennemann) and Hannah Wagner (Jana Klinge) have to face their enemies. After a daring prison break, staged by four prisoners, they seek refuge in Schwanitz. After a failed break-in, the house owner is shot at, injuring one of the escapees. The prisoners then kidnap Jule Christiansen (Marleen Lohse), who, together with her intern Lea (Carolin Granier), gives them medical help.
