Trump supporter James Woods tells his life story in a song

Trump supporter James Woods tells his life story in a song

James Woods – a staunch conservative actor – continues his career in the entertainment industry, just in a different way.

In 2017, Woods was dropped by his agent for supporting Donald Trump and has not appeared in a live-action role since. He appeared in many films like for example Once upon a time in America, Ghosts of Mississippi, Salvador And Casino, but when word got around that he was part of the MAGA camp, he was canceled (who would have thought).

However, he and country legend Shooter Jennings have teamed up to revive his career. Woods writes the songs and Jennings sings. The two will release an album in October called “Hear The Thunder Crack,” which tells stories from Woods’ life.

And lo and behold, they’ve released the first track from the album and it’s really great. It has calm music, a simple but beautiful tempo and moving lyrics.

The album will tell stories from the life of James Woods

Jennings inspired Woods to write about his experiences, and this album is something of an autobiography.

“Throughout my Hollywood career, people have encouraged me to write a book about my life. But celebrity exposés never appealed to me because I’m not interested in trivial things. I longed to share stories that moved me in my life, authentic stories that lifted my spirits or broke my heart,” Woods said. said. “When the great Shooter Jennings once casually suggested I write song lyrics, I was skeptical. But when I picked up the pen, those whispers from my heart expressed themselves in ways I never imagined. And when Shooter put them to music, my life changed forever. I can’t wait to share them with you.”

Honestly, I think this idea is great and if the rest of the tracks are anything like the first one, it will be an incredible album.

The rest of the project will be available on all major streaming services on 18 October.
