Texas Rangers left fielder Travis Jankowski added to the Chicago White Sox’s misery on Wednesday night when he made an incredible game-saving catch.

White Sox designated hitter Andrew Vaughn was at bat with two runners on base and hit a deep ball toward Jankowski. The outfielder was able to track the ball and catch it with a leaping catch at the fence, bringing the ball back into the field and giving Chicago the win.

It was the second out of the inning and the Rangers were able to close the deal and win the game 4-3.

“It was high. The hang time was perfect,” Jankowski said. “If it had been a foot further, it probably would have been out of my reach. So for me, it’s like everything came together.”

Jankowski said pitcher Andrew Chafin gave him a big hug for the catch and offered to buy him a steak dinner.

“I said, ‘Nah, man. Your friendship and the hug are good enough,’ and then he hugged me again,” he said.

Texas picked up two wins against the White Sox on Wednesday, pushing the worst team in MLB this year to 31-103. The Rangers and White Sox finished a game that was suspended after just four pitches on Tuesday.

The Rangers won Tuesday’s game 3-1 and Wednesday’s game 4-3.

Corey Seager was 4-for-5 in Wednesday’s game and had the game-winning RBI in the ninth inning. Wyatt Langford hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning.
