Fans of the Harry Potter series will get a new video game dedicated to the magical sport of Quidditch. This game, Harry Potter: Quidditch Masterwill be released sometime later this year. It will not be the only new release in the franchise, as HBO will be releasing a new series based on the popular books. The planned Harry Potter The television series at Warner Bros. have been in development for several years, and the studio announced earlier this year that it was aiming for a 2026 release. The new adaptation of the television series will transform each of JK Rowling’s stories into a new world. Harry Potter novels in a single season, meaning the entire series could span seven seasons or more.
Variety has now revealed that Warner Bros. Games has unveiled the new trailer for the upcoming sports game Harry Potter: Quidditch Masterwhich gives players the opportunity to play as their favorite characters, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Cho Chang, and more characters from the franchise. There will even be a feature that allows the player to create a custom player that can participate in the flight game. Quidditch Champion allows fans to take on various positions on the team, including Beater, Chaser, Goalkeeper or Seeker, in single-player career mode, competitive multiplayer mode or online co-op mode.
Quidditch Champion is a sequel to last year’s hit Harry Potter Game, Hogwarts Legacy. The new game will be released as Digital Standard and Deluxe Edition for Xbox, PC (Steam and Epic) and PlayStation systems on 3 SeptemberThe physical Deluxe Edition will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One 8 November. No release date has been set for the Nintendo Switch version yet, but Warner Bros. assures players that it “will be released this holiday season.”
In the meantime, the upcoming Harry Potter The series recently announced some news, revealing that the show has hired some key members of the creative team to Harry Potter Series adaptation. ConsequenceFrancesca Gardiner has been hired as writer and showrunner, while Mark Mylod has signed on to direct several episodes. Both Gardiner and Mylod have won Emmys for their work on Consequence as producers as well as their respective similar positions as writer and director.
