DETROIT – Two weather hazards threaten the Detroit metropolitan area on Tuesday: severe storms could be accompanied by dangerous heat.

A heat warning has been issued for all counties in the Detroit metropolitan area for Tuesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A severe weather warning is in effect in much of southeast Michigan until 9 p.m.

The storms are expected to reach Ontario around 9 p.m.

Here is a list of warnings for each county:

Wayne County

• A severe weather warning for Wayne County expired at 6:45 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Oakland County

• A severe weather warning for Oakland County expired at 6:30 p.m.

Macomb County

• A severe weather warning for Macomb County expired at 6:45 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Washtenaw County

• A severe weather warning for Washtenaw County expired at 6:30 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Livingston County

• A severe weather warning for Livingston County expired at 6 p.m.

Monroe County

• A severe weather warning for Monroe County expired at 7 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Lenawee County

• A severe weather warning for Lenawee County expired at 7 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Lapeer County

• A severe weather warning for Lapeer County expired at 6:15 p.m.

Sanilac County

• A severe weather warning for Sanilac County expired at 6:30 p.m.

St. Clair County

• A severe weather warning for St. Clair County expired at 6:45 p.m.

• A severe weather warning is in effect until 9 p.m.

Genesee County

• A severe weather warning for Genesee County expired at 5:30 p.m.
