reflection is the latest Torren Martyn project from Needessentials. The pair’s partnership has produced some pretty incredible projects over the years, and this latest production brings together years of footage from three different films into a highlights video that captures Torren’s inimitable style.

The film was directed by filmmaker and long-time Torren collaborator Ishka Folkwell. reflection takes footage of Lost Trail Atlantic, Lost Track New Zealand And CalypteThe newly edited clips are accompanied by an original soundtrack by Headland, which is released as an EP with two songs.

The supercut features moments from Torrens’ travels, which literally take him around the world, starting with Lost Trail Atlanticwhere he travelled to the equatorial coast of West Africa. Then, in Lost Track New ZealandTorren and Ishka embarked on a motorcycle tour through Aotearoa, battling both the elements and the waves. Calypte told the story of Torren and his partner Aiyana, who sailed through the South China Sea in a 35-foot sailboat.

The result is a mesmerizing film in which Ishka’s bold and thoughtful cinematography perfectly complements Torren’s effortless style. Watch it below.
