Tom Felton would consider returning to Harry Potter

Tom Felton would be willing to return for another Harry Potter film.

The 35-year-old actor played Draco Malfoy in the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s wizarding novels and confirmed that he would “consider” reprising the role if the series returned to the screen.

Tom told the i newspaper: “I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t consider it.

“I definitely don’t miss Draco Malfoy, but I am very fond of him.”

The star added: “Looking back now, it seemed like Potter was the only thing in my life. But there were many, many things before that.”

Tom, who wrote the memoir “Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard,” explained that it was difficult to move beyond “Harry Potter” as an actor and that he found it difficult to audition for roles in Hollywood.

He explained: “It wasn’t really like I was auditioning again. It was like I was learning how to audition all over again.”

“When kids are brought in, half of it is, ‘Can you stand on the marker, not look into the camera lens, and follow basic instructions?’ I mean, honestly, how well can a seven-year-old do anything?

“When you go there as a 20-year-old, especially in Los Angeles, the auditions are much more frequent and tougher. It’s a lesson – not necessarily in terms of brutality, but in terms of acceptance.”

Tom has a close bond with his Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson and said their relationship was of interest to fans of the film series.

He said: “I think I first came into contact with the concept of ‘shipping’ through Comic-Cons. I know Emma and I have no problem with it.”
