Tom Felton received £12 million for just over half an hour of screen time in the Harry Potter films.

The duration of the 35-year-old actor, who played the rascal Draco Malfoy in all eight films of the wizarding series, was broken down by IMDB into 31 minutes and 45 seconds.

In addition, his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) had much more time on screen.

33-year-old Daniel lasted 539 minutes, 32-year-old Emma lasted 205 minutes and 34-year-old Rupert lasted 211 minutes.

The late Robbie Coltraine, who played Rubeus Hagrid and died on October 14 at the age of 72, was on camera for 45 minutes and 45 seconds in the entire series.

Tom reportedly earned £12 million from the eight Potter films, which grossed a total of around £7 billion – that’s £390,769 per minute of screen time.

The actor told the Daily Mail that paying huge sums of money in his youth led to him squandering money.

He said: “I bought a lot of crap that kids buy: skateboards and clothes and typical teenage stuff.

“And as soon as I could, I wasted a lot of money on cars – mostly BMWs – for myself and my family.

“My mother told me, ‘You worked hard for this, so go get what you want, but be careful, you’re going to lose money on cars.’ And she was right.”
