During the peak heat in the late afternoon, it’s possible that an isolated thunderstorm could develop. Anything that does pop up would be short-lived and likely wouldn’t bring much precipitation. Gusty winds and lightning are possible, though. The chance of rain is low, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on the radar later today.

Temperatures will begin to drop today. Triple-digit temperatures are forecast for Thursday and Friday, but it won’t be as hot as today. By the weekend and next week, more clouds and less heat will cause temperatures to drop to over 35 degrees. A low-pressure system will also bring us isolated afternoon showers early next week.
