It’s the season finale at MetLife Stadium as the Giants and Jets face off in their final warm-up game before the 2024 regular season begins in two weeks.

The annual tradition – called the “MetLife Bowl” or “Snoopy Bowl” – will take place this weekend in East Rutherford.

With their 32-24 victory last August, the Jets have now won three preseason games in a row against Big Blue.

In 2023, Gang Green also won their first regular season meeting since 2019 in an ugly, sluggish 13-10 overtime win over the Giants, with kicker Greg Zuerlein converting a 33-yard field goal last October.

So far this preseason, the Jets have not given any regulars on either side of the ball any playing time, and that could be the status quo for players like Aaron Rodgers, Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner and others, as head coach Robert Saleh has not commented on whether any of the regulars will play on Saturday.

Despite missing their regular players, the Jets are 2-0 so far, with two one-point wins: a 20-17 victory over the Commanders in Week 1 and a 15-12 win over the Panthers last Saturday.

Last week, the G-Men played their core players for much of the first half against the Texans, with mixed results. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, drafted sixth overall, made some brilliant plays, and the offensive line as a unit looked in rhythm in their first game together.

Meanwhile, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones — playing against the Raiders for the first time since tearing his ACL last November — had a few plays he would have liked to get back, including a pick-six while being sacked in the end zone and another interception on the ensuing drive into Texans territory.

The 28-10 loss was Big Blue’s first preseason defeat, as they won their 2024 season game 14-3 against the Lions on August 8.
