Many Star Wars fans are familiar with any video game set in a galaxy far, far away. But even the most diehard fans may not know the little-known game. Star Wars: Movie Duels that can be played online.

IGN recently made a great video breaking down the most important parts of this mod game, which is worth watching because it shows the fantastic gameplay. It is a mod of the video game STAR WARS: Jedi Knight Academy, which some fans consider to be one of the best lightsaber combat games of all time, even though it came out over 20 years ago.

This makes it the perfect game to mod and create iconic battles in the Star Wars universe. This game contains seemingly every major lightsaber battle from all nine films in the Skywalker saga. It even includes iconic battles from animated series such as Star Wars Rebels when Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul face each other on Tatooine.

The gameplay is great, you can have fairly realistic duels that are similar to those in the series or movies. They even added features that weren’t in the original game, such as hand-to-hand combat with lightsabers, which adds another level of realism to the game.

The game also seems to use real lines of dialogue from the shows or movies, so you can really immerse yourself in those iconic scenes.

Over the years we have received many very good Star Wars games. The closest you can get to actually recreating scenes from the movies is probably Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. But of course this is a Lego game, so while it’s a lot of fun, it lacks the element of realism.

I don’t have a Windows PC so I can’t play the game, but you can be sure that I’ll be checking out YouTube and watching gameplay footage of the game so I can be as jealous as possible that I’m missing out on such a cool experience.
