The song By The Way by Red Hot Chili Peppers played as Cruise drove through the streets of Paris and onto a plane. A pre-recorded video was then shown showing Cruise skydiving to the famous Hollywood Sign, where he incorporated the Olympic rings into the landmark to officially declare Los Angeles the host city of the 2028 Games.

Accordingly Economic Times and according to other reports, Tom Cruise charges between 1 million (approximately Rs. 80 million) and 2 million (approximately Rs. 160 million) for a stunt.

The ceremony also featured performances by well-known artists such as Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr. Dre and HER. Around 80,000 spectators and 8,200 athletes from over 200 delegations attended the event. Pistol shooter Manu Bhaker and hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh were India’s flag bearers at the closing ceremony.

Although the Olympic Games have already ended, the Paralympics are expected to begin soon in Paris on August 28. After winning 19 medals at the Tokyo Paralympics, India will send its largest contingent of 84 athletes to the upcoming Games.
