Aldi fans are excited about the new Aldi finds that pop up each month. From seasonal twists on popular snacks to decorations lining the store’s “aisle of shame,” new products are a big part of what keeps shoppers interested — and let’s face it, no one can resist a bit of newness.

“We have cultivated really great partnerships with suppliers over the years as we have developed the range and have developed some really unique items,” says Shaun O’Keefe, regional vice president of Aldi Jefferson.

Aldi Finds aren’t just a way for the discounter to experiment with trends. They’re also a way to get customer feedback and determine which products to offer year-round. This means your snack preferences and impulse purchases are actually important consumer research data.

“We carry some Aldi Finds that allow us to add unique items to our assortment that we might not otherwise carry every day,” says O’Keefe. Often, Aldi Finds reappear after a few months or years. “If it’s really popular, we bring it back as a core assortment item.”

Case in point? Aldi’s Park Street Deli Crab Rangoon Dip. This item debuted back in 2020, with Instagrammer @aisleofshame sharing the find in January of that year.

Since then, Aldi customers have been flocking to the delicatessen section to get their hands on the popular dip, which landed permanently on shelves in 2021.

Aldi’s goat cheese dips are coming back in September

Many of the brand’s products are hits, but Aldi’s deli dips are particularly popular, with the variety of flavours available increasing in recent years. While interest in dips is more recent, Aldi has worked with the supplier (which also supplies its cult chicken salad) for nearly 20 years, so it’s no surprise that other dip flavours such as Lobster Roll, Mexicali and Street Corn have all been added to the permanent range.

“They were all originally launched as limited-time Aldi finds, but due to their popularity they are now everyday staples,” a spokesperson said. The source also revealed that two other fan favorites, the Park Street Goats Cheese Dips with Truffle or Red Pepper, will return in the fall on September 6.
