Thirteen Razorbacks selected for Senior Bowl Watch list

Thirteen Razorbacks selected for Senior Bowl Watch list

The Arkansas Razorbacks are well represented on the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl is one of the “all-star” games for college football players and coaches.

Before this year, rising seniors were the only athletes nominated for the team. Now, for the first time, junior students who are eligible for military service can also participate in the game.

The preseason watch list selects 400 of the best NCAA football players who could potentially be selected for the game at the end of the year.

Since 1950, 71 Hogs have participated in one of college football’s best All-Star postseason games.

Thirteen Hogs gained recognition with seven representatives on offense and six on defense.

The list is as follows:

Taylen Green, quarterback (3,794 yards, 25 touchdowns, 15 career interceptions)

Green came out of Boise State and has a similar skill set to former Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson: He is a tall, physical quarterback who can throw the ball long distances but is also a threat on the ground.

Ja’Quinden Jackson, running back (1,358 yards, 14 career touchdowns)

Jackson transferred from Texas to Utah before the 2021 season. Jackson was a rotation player, but a key one in the Utes’ offense. Jackson could have a bigger workload in Arkansas.

Andrew Armstrong, wide receiver (56 catches, 756 yards, 5 touchdowns in 2023)

Armstrong wasted no time making his presence felt in the SEC after joining the Hogs from junior college, starting all 12 games for the Razorbacks last year.

Isaac TeSlaa, wide receiver (34 catches, 351 yards, 2 touchdowns in 2023)

TeSlaa is another wide receiver who quickly became an impact player for the Hogs last year. In 2022, TeSlaa caught 68 passes for 1,325 yards and 13 scores at Division II out of Hillsdale College.

Fernando Carmona Jr., offensive line (24 career starts)

Carmona comes from San Jose State, where he anchored a running attack that featured two tailbacks each rushing for more than 800 yards in 2023. Carmona is expected to be an immediate contributor on the offensive line, and he’s not the only transfer who will play a role on the front line.

Josh Braun, Offensive Line (20 career starts)

Braun transferred to Florida after his junior year in 2022. After playing in just two games in 2022, it was clear in 2023 that Braun simply needed a change of scenery. Last season, he was named second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press after starting all 12 games.

Ty’Kieast Crawford, Offensive Line (played 38 games in his career)

Crawford started the final three games of the year for the Hogs and has been a reliable contributor on offense and special teams since joining the team in 2021.

Cameron Ball, Defensive Line (6 starts in 2023)

Ball has been a key rotation player for the Hogs over the past two years, recording four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Eric Gregory, Defensive Line (32 starts, 13.5 tackles for loss in career)

Gregory is one of the most established veterans Arkansas has on the team. At 6’4″ and 315 pounds, Gregory is a force on the interior defensive line. He has 6.5 sacks and 13.5 TFLs.

Landon Jackson, Defensive Line (17 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks in 30 games, 19 starts)

Jackson could have left and been a high-level NFL draft pick last April. However, he decided to forgo the draft and stay for his senior year. If you’re wondering what Lebron James might look like as a football player, look at Jackson.

With his height of 2.01 m and his weight of 127 kg, he is one of the most exceptional athletes in the entire nation, regardless of his position.

Xavian Sorey Jr., linebacker (19 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss in 2023)

Sorey is one of the few former Georgia Bulldogs players to join the Razorbacks. Sorey was a rotation player for the Bulldogs, but will likely start at inside linebacker for the Razorbacks.

Doneiko Slaughter, Defensive Back (87 tackles, 7 pass defenses in career)

Slaughter joined the Razorbacks this season after spending the previous four in Tennessee. Slaughter has started 14 of the 42 games of his career and is developing into a starting cornerback for the Hogs.

Kyle Ramsey, kicker (19 of 22 field goals in his career)

Ramsey converted 14 of 15 field goal attempts for Abilene Christian last season.
