The “world’s largest” bouncy castle park is coming to Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Visitors to the Cherry Hill Mall will soon witness some serious inflation (the fun kind).

A mobile bouncy park is being set up in the parking lot of the Cherry Hill Mall. With 25,000 square meters of continuous bouncy zones, FUNBOX describes itself as the “largest bouncy park in the world.”

FUNBOX opens on Friday and is open Friday through Sunday every week through the end of October in the parking lot across from JCPenney. (Opening times see below).

Based in Southern California, FUNBOX brings its giant inflatable parks across the country and beyond. The “bouncy park” features a number of attractions including Marshmallow Mountain, Temple Tower, the Ninja Wall and an obstacle course.

At each stop, FUNBOX supports a small, local charity that helps children in foster care – an initiative inspired by founder Antonio Nieves’s upbringing of nine younger siblings in foster care.

Despite its slogan, FUNBOX does not hold a world record. Another company holds the Guinness title of “world’s largest bouncy castle” at 2,200 square meters. But FUNBOX uses the slogan to draw attention to its offerings, says Randall Deleonio, the company’s regional marketing coordinator.

“FUNBOX does not currently hold an official world record for ‘World’s Largest Bouncy Park,’ but the term is a registered trademark of our brand,” Deleonio told Patch via email. “We use this designation to emphasize the expansiveness of our bouncy park experience, which stands out in the industry.”

On Cherry Hill’s grand opening weekends (this Friday through Labor Day and September 6-8), tickets are $19. Admission is valid for 80 minutes of bouncing.

People of all ages can enjoy the kid-friendly fun, but children under 13 must bring a parent or guardian. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the bounce houses.

Opening hours and further information

FUNBOX will be operational starting this Friday on weekends until October 20th.

Weekly hours are Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. On Labor Day, the park is also open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
