The Timberwolves open the season on October 22 against the Lakers and play in Dallas on Christmas Day

The Timberwolves will play on opening night of the 2024–25 NBA season and also have a game on Christmas Day.

The season begins on Tuesday, October 22nd at 9 p.m. with a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, meaning Wolves All-NBA guard Anthony Edwards will face his U.S. gold medal-winning Olympic teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the first day of the regular season.

The Wolves’ season ended in the Western Conference finals last year when they were eliminated by Dallas. The Mavericks will host the Wolves on Christmas Day at 1:30 p.m. as part of the annual NBA games on Dec. 25.

Eighteen Wolves games will be broadcast nationally – two on ABC, including the Christmas game, and eight each on ESPN and TNT.

The season ends with a home game against Utah on April 13th.

The NBA champion Boston Celtics will be at Target Center on Jan. 2. There are home games against Denver on Nov. 1 and Jan. 25, Golden State on Dec. 21 and Jan. 15 and Western Conference No. 1 seed Oklahoma City on Feb. 13 and 23.

The home portion of the regular season schedule includes two five-game home games. The first will be Feb. 1-8 against Washington, Sacramento, Chicago, Houston and Portland. The second five-game home game of the season will be March 14-21 with games against Orlando, Utah, Indiana and New Orleans.
