The entire premise surrounding the upcoming reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will probably shock you. It’s about swinging, and not playground swinging. But when you find out how much these women are making from their TikTok deals and partnerships, your jaw might drop.
The series follows the lives of several influencers, all Mormon mothers, after a swinger sex scandal uncovered by the self-proclaimed creator of #MomTalk, Taylor Frankie Paul.
She shocked the world when she revealed that she and her ex-husband practiced “soft swinging,” an arrangement that involves multiple partners but does not go “to consummation.”

Not only has she changed her own life, but she has also changed the lives of other women in her community, including Whitney Leavitt and Mayci Neeley, who both star in the new Hulu show. Although both women say they were not involved in the swinger scandal, they acknowledged that it has had both a positive and negative impact on their salaries as influencers.

“If anything, it’s just brought us more publicity, to be honest,” Leavitt told E News! about the scandal’s impact on her paychecks.
But Neeley disagrees to some extent.
“It’s a mix though,” she said. “I did an event for my business launch that I did on the show and a couple of vendors almost cancelled because they were like, ‘Wait a minute, are you guys into this swinger stuff?’ I think our reputation took a little bit of a hit, but revenue-wise, I don’t think it really affected us too much.”

According to Leavitt, it is difficult to estimate what they actually earn.
“It’s difficult because every year is different. … You could do a really big brand deal, like, ‘Hey, we want to do a six-month deal with you,’ and then the next year you don’t get it at all. It varies drastically.”
“It varies from person to person depending on what you specialize in, like fitness and health or beauty,” said the soon-to-be mother of three, “toys or mom products for your kids.”
“Every industry is different. Some pay more than others,” Neeley added.
Leavitt, who has 2 million followers on TikTok, gave an example of one of her bigger deals. She said she got paid $20,000 to promote a sex toy on social media. But that five-figure amount isn’t the most she or Neeley have ever seen.
“We both got one – we can’t say what it was – but we got a deal that was worth $75,000 for a year,” said Neeley, who has 1.3 million followers on TikTok.
