The PlayStation Plus offer for September 2024 includes the popular horror game and Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

Key findings

  • PlayStation Plus program in September 2024: Harry Potter, MLB and Little Nightmares II.

  • The Harry Potter game includes the Quidditch World Cup, crossplay, and multiple schools.

  • MLB The Show 24 highly rated; Little Nightmares II offers a spooky co-op experience.

PlayStation has announced the three games that will be included in the September 2024 PlayStation Plus offer for Essential subscribers and above. These include Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24 and the popular horror game Little Nightmares II.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is available on PlayStation Plus from day one

Starting September 3, all three games will be available to download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available on the service from day one of its release and the game will also be playable across platforms. It will include online multiplayer and a campaign that will take you from House Weasley to the Quidditch World Cup. It will also feature the two schools Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, whose Quidditch pitches will be featured for the first time. While playing Quidditch Champions, you can choose between the Chaser, Seeker, Keeper or Beater positions.

Another sports game included in September is MLB The Show 24. This baseball game is highly rated by critics. It has a strong OpenCritic rating with a top critic average of 80. “The addition of two storylines and the way this was produced, as well as the pace of the gameplay, opens the door for what’s to come,” our review said. “With no challenging gameplay and rewards, this docu-series will keep players engaged early on in addition to teaching them about baseball history that includes one of the greatest dynasties of all time.”

Finally, Little Nightmares II will scare PlayStation Plus subscribers this September. A spooky treat just before the month of October, Little Nightmares II offers an exceptional scary experience for co-op players (or solo players if you’re on your own). In this campaign, you’ll try to escape a sadistic teacher, a terrifying hunter, and more enemies.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available on the service from day one of its release, and the game will also be playable across platforms with other systems.

“Little Nightmares II is a fine sequel to the 2017 original that’s bolder and more polished,” says our 2021 review. “Stripped down to its most basic premise, the game intrigues yet still invites you through well-orchestrated puzzle segments and subtle spots that lend themselves to the creeping, anxious journey that characters Six and Mono must make through the world.”

You still have time to redeem the PlayStation Plus Essential games from August 2024. These include the fantastic Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach and Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. If you’re an Extra or Premium subscriber, you can also play the various games available on the service, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the TimeSplitters series.
