Mecha Break is still in the testing phase, but it already has over 51,000 concurrent players on PC – and they’re all taking advantage of the ridiculous character editor.
The brand new action game from developer Amazing Seasun Games only entered beta on August 3rd of this month. Mecha Break has apparently been a smash hit – it reached a peak of 51,382 concurrent players on Steam just two days ago, on August 10th, according to SteamDB.
You might be thinking that this looks a lot like other mecha games, such as FromSoftware’s excellent Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, but one key difference is that Mecha Break has a character editor for your human pilot. It turns out that the character editor system for said pilot is absolutely insane, allowing players to customize the size of their buttocks, as seen in the tweet below.
I laughed so hard at the booty adjustment slider in Mecha Break that I got supraventricular tachycardia. This is no joke. pic.twitter.com/893cgqd3we5 August 2024
But wait, there’s more! The two tweets below show just how silly Mecha Break’s character editor can get due to its extensive options, and I can promise you right now that nothing can prepare you for the character created in the final tweet below.
happy to report that you can create an absolute freak in the mecha break customization section. pic.twitter.com/Zc81ghgf6b11 August 2024

There is currently no word on when Mecha Break might release, but I sincerely hope the character creation system is just as good when it finally comes. The playtest is only available on Steam, but Mecha Break will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms after the full release.
