The makers of “Evil” and “The Good Wife” are coming to Cupertino

After having performed for the late, great DevilishNetwork TV experts Robert and Michelle King have set their sights on some monsters that live a little closer to home. According to DeadlineThe provisional title of the couple’s next project is Cupertino (after Apple’s California headquarters) and is described as a “Silicon Valley legal drama, David versus Goliath.” Robert and Michelle will write the script and produce from their own company, King Sized Productions, along with CBS Studios, where they have worked for 15 years. The show will air on CBS.

Of course, the Kings are no strangers to good legal drama. (Warning, Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian!) The couple created the hit series The good wifein which Julianna Margulies played a criminal defense attorney who returned to work after her husband, a politician, was imprisoned for a sex scandal in 2009. The series ran for seven seasons and won five Emmys before spin-offs were released The good fight (with Christine Baranski) in 2016 and Elsbeth (with Carrie Preston) last year. The latter will start its second season on October 17th on CBS.
